About Me

Hi! I’m Alona Savoff, the creator of The Design Apothecary. I live and breathe design for my job, and with so much inspiration flooding in every day, I want to pour it back out and share what I love with the world! 

I lived in New York City for 6 years where I earned a Masters Degree in Interior Design from Pratt Institute and began my career working on high-rise condos and residential homes.  Since then, I’ve settled in the bright coastal town of Huntington Beach, CA where I continue to work on restaurants and hospitality projects. I learn something new every day, make mistakes, and discover ideas for making the spaces around me beautiful and enjoyable. 

Outside this realm, I spend time with my husband and sweet pup Storm, drinking smoothies and riding bikes along the beach. I’m fond of horses, cooking, and am a freakishly fast reader. I hope The Design Apothecary leaves you feeling inspired and more in love with design and all its potential for enhancing the world around you!
